I prefer questions and comments to be posted on the blog for all to see and learn from. However, I recognize that Blogger is not the easiest platform to use; some people cannot comment at all. Others would rather maintain a low profile.
Use the email addy above to contact me privately. I check it twice a day during the week and sometimes on Saturdays.

Good Day, Thank you for such a helpful blog. I bought both of your TEOTWAWKI cafe books. I am wondering if you have posted a complete list of recommended spices for storage used in your condiments and sauces book, I could find no list in the book . I've been wanting to store the most important spices to help avoid food bordum (sp) in a grid down situation. Please direct me to any list you have. Keep up the great work !
ReplyDeleteI do have a list of herbs and spices for my family. You may want additional items, but this is a place to start. And for some reason, it didn't make it into the book. :( https://prepschooldaily.blogspot.com/2021/05/herbs-and-spices-in-your-food-storage.html
DeleteHello Jennifer. I read your post today (10/21/24) where you said you use maturity tincture for pain relief. I also read your prior blog post on nasturtium. Then I looked in your book Armageddon Pharmacy for more info. Under Synergisms you show footnote 4108, however that footnote appears to be missing. Would footnote 4108 be the same as footnote 34 in your 12/12/21 blog post "Medicinal Uses of Nasturtium?" Thanks. Georgette Kent
ReplyDeleteHi Georgette, Thank you for pointing that out. I kinda wonder what my formatter did with the rest of the footnotes for that page. And now I'm worried about what other footnotes disappeared. :( Yes, footnotes 4108 from the book and #34 from the blog are the same.
DeleteNasturtium tincture not maturity tincture. Gotta love auto correct. Although "maturity" was better than another word it wanted to insert. : (
ReplyDeleteJennifer,
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you do.
Please consider creating and offering (as does SurvivalBlog.com) a usb drive of all your postings. Yes, I can use a software tool to scrape everything but having it available this way would be wonderful. As an alternative to an actual item, at least consider creating a .zip or .tar file of everything and make it available for download. Actually, that creation process could be automated to create an updated file each month, to include your fresh posts.
Once again I appreciate all you do, you've opened my eyes to sooo many things & possibilities.
Best wishes for the new year and Good Luck to us All.

Your post on dental abscesses in a doomsday scenario was an answer to a concern that I have had for a long time, i.e., how to treat these in an austere environment. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteHi, I'd like one of the unspoken for flashdrives I must have missed the blog on "need to order" and pls let me know the amount and preferred payment method. Thanks
ReplyDeleteDitto on Alvin's comment (above) - please let me know the amount and how to pay and order
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI ordered a flash drive...didn't realize/never used square. Didn't enter code. Are you still processing the order?

Hi Alvin,
DeleteYour first order went out on Monday. I can send the tracking number if you like. I don't know what is going on with the Square page, so I'll have to ask Aaron when he wakes up. Let me know if you want to cancel the order for the second one. It's easy to do. Thank you so much for your support.
Hi Mrs Jennifer, I met you last season at the LDS church on Food storage. Then I saw you at the Farmers Market. I bought a couple of your books. Which I love. Thinking of buying a couple more for a few friends. But I am reading the one about making the most of powdered milk in your storage. I am not sure if you touch on coconut milk. I was just wondering if that could also be a possibility. Sorry if someone else has asked this. Thank you Salina
ReplyDeleteHello Salina,
DeleteI do not cover coconut milk. I rarely use it, so I can't comment on it. I would, however, welcome comments on the blog from people who have used it. We all need to learn about the best ways of using our food storage. Hope to see you again soon.
Jennifer
Hi Mrs Jennifer, this is Salina again. Just wondering if you are doing the farmer markets in elko this year?
ReplyDeleteHi Salina,
DeleteI am definitely planning to be there. Is there something you are looking for right now?
I have been trying to get my friend to buy your books on amazon. But she said she would rather buy direct from you. I have been telling her all the good stuff and I just want to get her started:) She also had a few questions about pharmacuticals.

DeleteWell, I'd be thrilled to sell directly to her! And happy to answer any questions as well. As I check the calendar, I see that due to other commitments, the first Elko market I will be attending is June 28. However, 2 Wild Poppies will also be doing markets on Thursday evenings. I will be there June 5, probably June 12, and probably June 26.
DeleteHi Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in buying your writings, but I give Amazon enough of my after-Tax dollars.
I would rather the money goes to support you, instead of a middle entity. Bezos makes good coin already.
I looked at this site and cant find a direct sale option. Do you have that?
Mark
Hi Mark, Thanks for your question. I certainly don't make this easy, do I? I was certain that I had the link to my store here, but clearly, that's something I need to remedy. The author website is AuthorJenniferRader.com or you can bypass it and go straight to the store: https://rader-resources-llc.square.site/. Thanks so much for your support.
DeleteQuestion please. Hydrocortisone is available as a cream or ointment and as such has a shorter shelf life than tablets. Since Hydrocortisone and Prednisone are both corticosteroids could someone crush/grind Prednisone tablets and mix with vaseline as a replacement for old Hydrocortisone?
ReplyDeleteAs there are prednisone creams, we know that it can be absorbed through the skin. However, how finely does it need to be powdered? And is Vaseline an acceptable base for it? That I don't know. Hydrocortisone cream is extremely inexpensive. Prednisone tablets are difficult to source and could be valuable for other conditions. I would think it would be better to look for herbs that would work well in place of a prednisone cream. Give herbs a chance. You have nothing to lose.
